Simon Nixon

CHARTERED SURVEYOR AND PARTNER

Principal Partner Simon Nixon has been a valued member of Addisons since 1985.

His work includes development land contracts; sales and valuations of farms and rural property; expert witness reports for litigation; compulsory purchase; compensation for third party mineral interests; and tenancy succession. homebuyers reports and property valuations. When Simon isn’t in the office he loves outdoor sports and finding antiques to add to his many collections.

Melanie Wilson

PROPERTY MANAGER

Melanie previously enjoyed a successful career at one of the leading national estate agents. But after years of working with us and a combination of hard work and a determination to succeed, she became Branch Manager & Valuer, priding herself on her knowledge of property and for providing the best customer service possible.

Melanie is passionate about property and marketing truly believing that every client deserves a first-class, bespoke service, tailored to their requirements. She’s proud of the company and the people who work with her and is constantly adapting Addison’s marketing strategies and advertising campaigns to ensure that the business offers the very best service to its clients.

Beverley Campbell

With years of valuable experience, Bev has developed a huge passion for helping people acquire their dream homes and finds this aspect of her job hugely rewarding.

Having worked at Addisons for over 30 years, through hard work and determination and a drive to provide the best customer service, Bev has developed the skills to provide all clients with market appraisals and accompanied viewings. She’s also a first-class negotiator with vast knowledge of the local area, and she always has the best advice for her clients.

Paul Smith

Paul is an experienced chartered surveyor who has both lived and worked across North Yorkshire, with his background predominantly in farming, land agency and rural estate management.

He works with a number of private clients covering a diverse range of rural consultancy advice to estates, owner-occupiers, and tenants across North Yorkshire and the Northeast of England.

Marie Wingfield

Lettings Manager

Marie has been in the residential lettings industry for more than a decade and is the Lettings Manager here at Addisons.

Her approachability helps her build excellent relationships with landlords and tenants alike, and her wide knowledge base allows her to tackle a range of challenging situations. She personifies going the extra mile, and her highly organised nature is what drives the success of this side of the business.

Alison Dods

Professional Office Administrator

Alison is our Professional Office Administrator. Her background and experience allow her to comfortably carry out all general administration and reception roles within our office, generally being your first point of contact over the telephone when contacting our professional team.

Throughout her career, Alison has always been client-facing, and she takes pride in her dedicated customer service and bubbly personality. Claudia Talbot

Sales Negotiator

Claudia’s experience allows her to guide clients through complex sales and purchases thanks to her ability to help with sale queries and relate and assist the solicitors. She can break down the sales process to our clients in an easy and accessible way, so all parties are kept fully informed and understand exactly what is happening.

Claudia has a passion for helping all of our clients and will go above and beyond to ensure that they get the results they want. Claudia has always loved dealing with property and has found herself at home within the sales team at Addisons.

David Hall

Land Agent (FRGS MSc HND MRAC)

David came to Teesdale in 1989 and has been involved with land, historic building and environmental management, development, and diversification ever since. He’s been so successful in his role that he’s notched up both a visitor attraction and two major conservation awards.

After graduating from the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, David gained two masters qualifications in Natural resource Management and Geographical Information Systems. He’s also a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.

He enjoys hill walking, walking with his Vizsla, painting, and has a private pilot license.

Trudy

Trudy Layton

Head of Accounts

Trudy has over 20 years’ accounting experience working in the industry, making her perfect for her role at Addisons. She enjoys a challenge and is an enthusiastic team player who ensures that all queries are responded to efficiently.

The knowledge gained working with smaller entities has benefitted her in working with the Estates and Client Accounts team and helps her with the diverse services and tasks she encounters on a daily basis.

Deborah ensures that all administration aspects run smoothly. Deborah loves a challenge and enjoys her role within the professional team, ensuring organisation, and streamlining procedures to ensure a great customer experience. The diversity of the role brings daily challenges which require her expertise in keeping everything running smoothly.

Richard Henderson

Richard read Agriculture at Newcastle University and later gained an RICS accredited qualification with the College of Estate Management. He qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2004 and is a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (CAAV) and an RICS Registered Valuer.

Richard deals with a wide variety of private client work in connection with residential, agricultural, and commercial property.

Away from work Richard is involved with the running of the family farm and is a keen collector and restorer of vintage tractors.

Charlottes studied Rural Enterprises and Land Management at Harper Adams University. She qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2019 and is a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (CAAV) and an RICS Registered Valuer.

Charlotte deals with a wide variety of private client work in connection with residential and agricultural property.

Away from work Charlotte is involved with the family farm where she keeps her small flock of pedigree Blue Texel Sheep and works her sheep dog Molly.
