Sustainable Farming Incentive
From 2022 the initial SFI aims to enhance the natural health and fertility of soils and contribute to the overall effort to reach Net Zero. We help to explain and explore this new initiative to assess the condition of your moorland and advise on utilising the moorland and rough grazing standards to gain these incentives. The Annual Health and Welfare review will follow a different approach – funding a yearly farm visit from a vet or vet-led team.
Local Nature Recovery
Ideally positioned as coordinator for private arrangements between landowners, we can advise on the involvement and integration in the government carbon, biodiversity net gain and nutrient trading schemes.
Landscape Recovery
For the larger landscape initiatives, we can act as facilitator on recovering and restoring England’s threatened native species, utilising our specific local, historic knowledge and expertise to aid in restoring England’s streams and rivers: improving water quality, biodiversity and adapting to climate change.
